1st April is normally known for All Fools Day or Jour du Poisson here in France…for us it’s Day 1 !! We signed for the house yesterday afternoon so it is ours now, which is a bit of a relief as we’ve had our roofer mending the leaks and replacing rotten timber all last week…soContinue reading “hey ho, hey ho…it’s off to work we go!”

Remembering why we are here!

After our horrendous experience with Harriett and 5 days later loosing Monty the 20+ year old dog I found at the side of the road our heads really dropped. We also had a run of folk coming into the rentals that really shouldn’t have tried to ‘do’ Normandy in a day and a half weContinue reading “Remembering why we are here!”

Claries a cute little lamb? No sorry folks she’s now a full on battering ram…she’s actually quite powerful and also wilful! It’s going to be a challenge to keep her, I’m wondering if I need to find another to keep her company and maybe her desire to be with us and especially Mr Willerby mayContinue reading “cute little lamb?… more like a full on battering ram!”

Llamas together at last and fox attacks…

The big day arrived yesterday, Esme was allowed into Fernando’s field. For the past week I have let Esme into the other big field with the goats so she and Fernando could touch noses, (in fact Fernando could get half his body through the rails and nuzzle her neck), so with it 6 weeks toContinue reading “Llamas together at last and fox attacks…”
